Hairnamics Hair Pills

Hello everyone!!

I hope you are all doing well and I hope that life is doing you good!! I wanted to really kick start my hair growth process this year. I'm trying to get past shoulder length (it is about that time), so I went to the internet to look for some affordable hair pills. I came across a brand by the name of Hairnamics. I did my research ( I mean, I really dug deep) and thought to myself, "Why not?" . The pricing was affordable and the testimonies seemed valid. I'm really looking forward to seeing some more inches!

This post is going to be about my start before any physical changes and my expectations of the product. So without any further babbling, let's get into it!

What I'm looking for this product to do:
This product claims that it's a hair, skin, and nails product- while everyone is looking for hair results, I'm looking for all three.

  • Here's what I'm looking for in my hair :
  • Longer, stronger hair
    • To be honest: It's about that time yall, I'm trying to surpass this shoulder length, I got goals! lol
  • Thicker hair in the weaker areas(this is a result continuous, tight protective styling that I'm still trying to recover from 😒), I'm getting there tho!! 💁. Here are the areas:
    • The nape area (back of the head)
    • The sides of my hair (temple area)
  • Secondary Hair Growth: Before you give me the looks, I'm talking about my eyelash and eyebrow hairs lol
    • I want to see a noticable difference! Grow baby grow!!
    • I want nice thick eye lashes, not snuffaluffagus eyelashes, but some nice thick gorgeous eyelashes!!
  • Overall improvement
    • I want to see my hair thrive and really flourish. I would say that I'm pretty consistant, and I always try my best to give my hair that TLC (tender-loving care) as much as possible, but as always, I think my hair can get better!
Here's what I'm looking for this product to do with my skin:
  • Clearer Skin
    • One thing that is a make it or break it for me with these hair pills now a days is that they break you out, or mess you up
    • I can't walk around with my face breaking out just to grab a couple inches- No ma'am, no thank YOU!
  • Softer and more managble skin!
    • I love my skin, I want my skin to always been on its A-Game. I hope this product helps to make my skin nice, soft, and supple, regardless of the weather.
    • I'm looking for my skin to be nice, soft, and smooth!
  • That Glow!!
    • I want to notice improvements with the glow of my skin! Again, I love my skin and try to allow for my skin to look nice, but I would like to notice a difference!
My Nails...
  • I don't really have a problem with them, but if it improves something that I didn't really recognize before, more power to the product! lol
Over all body:
  • well these are supplement pills that have vitamins, minerals, and the like. One of their key ingredients that they have in their pills that other companies (supposedly) don't provide is iron. With that being said, anything that my body is lacking (nutrients wise), I want to be able to supply my body with all the good stuff.
    • healthy hair starts from the inside, OUT!! If you're lacking on the inside, don't expect to get a whole bunch on the inside
    • This is for anything! If you lacking, your body will most definetly let you know via signs
What am I going to do other than take the pills?
  • a consistent regimen (wash, condition, moisturize, and the basics)
  • healthy eating
  • I would like to say some form of exercise ( but let's omit this, I'm not even gonna lie to myself lol)
*FYI: I just want you to be aware of the things that I am taking aside from the pills: the 2 other products that I'm using for my body and health would be 1) Cod Liver Oil and 2) Milk Thistle
  • Cod Liver Oil has so many benefits! If you would like me to let you know about what cod liver oil really is, I would be happy to in another post!
    • but pretty much, its good for the skin, brain, nervous system, and overall health
    • it also helps to stop sugar cravings (which has helped me out a lot!!)
    • One thing that I will say about this product is that it does NOT taste the greatest! Just putting that out there lol!
  • Milk Thistle pretty much helps to function and maintain a healthy liver. If you happen to have skin problems, this will help you greatly!!
Alright, alright!! I know you guys are looking for the specific details, pictures, and what not so here is!

I purchased the product while there was a promotion going on! I purchased 3 bottles and received 1 for free (4 months)!!
There are 90 pills per bottle.  This means that you take 3  a day.You can take them all at once or take them individually within your day, I personally take them all at once so that I don't forget. In my opinion, the pills aren't humongous, but taking all of them at once can be a bit much at times.
I started taking these pills the day that I picked these products from the mail which would be on the 29th of January in 2016. The shipping on these pills came very quickly (about 2 days) and I didn't have to purchase anything extra to get them to me faster.

Here's what the bottle looks like:
*front and sides of the bottle

Here are what the pill look like:

The pictures however where taken a bit later (Feb. 7, 2016)! I wanted to get a trim before I actually start that way I know my hair is in tip top shape! I also wanted to view the growth without having to actually cut it before the 4 months came to an end.

Front, Sides, and Back view:
*the front of my hair is under my lip (close to my chin), the sides of my hair is to my collar bone, and the back of my hair is past my neck close to my shoulders (shoulder length)*

Problem Areas in the Hair: Sides (near temple/ edges), Nape (back of the head):

*This is a picture of where I cut my hair by accident. Let's just say that I had crochet braids, was in a rush- and you already know the rest. I can get over it because I did it lol

Subject Target Secondary Hairs (eye brows and eyelashes):

These are the areas that I'm looking to see improvements in! I will check back with you in a month. I will also check back with you at the end of the 4 months!!!

See you guys soon!!

Tropical Hair Deep Conditioner | fromanaturalsPOV

Hey hans and beaus, beaus and hans; handsome, beautiful people of the earth!

I love a good homemade conditioner! You don't have to pay those expensive prices, you know what's going in your hair, and you can lather on as much as you want, and you get great  results!! Last night, I had two overripe fruita and I said why not do something to my hair?

Alright, let's get started!
I used half of a banana, half of an avocado, 3 tablespoons of coconut oil and about 2 tablespoons of water. I put all the ingredients into a blender, and added the water little by little. I blended until I got a very nice smoothie consistency.

After I mixed the product, I sectioned my hair in 6 different sections and put the hair smoothie on dry hair.  I applied the smoothie from the ends of my hair (the oldest part of my hair) all the way to my roots. I distributed the smoothie, finger detangled, and moved on to a new section. When I finished with all the sections, I went back and applied more to the ends, around the perimeter of my head, and anywhere else I saw fit.

*FYI: This hair smoothie was a bit runny!! Check out my blouse!! So if you are going to use this, get on some comfortable clothes!

After I put the product all over, I used a plastic bag and then put on my thermal cap for about 20 minutes. If you don't have a thermal cap, you can use a hooded dryer or a handheld dryer.
When I was finished with the cap, I massaged my scalp with my electric massager ( if you don't have one, your hands will do just fine). I did this for about 5-10 minutes. I then used a handheld mini clothes steamer on my hair to really let all the good nutrients get inside my head!
I washed out my hair with cool water (to lock in the moisture). When I tell you my hair felt so good, it felt soooo good!! I absoutely loved my results!! I put my leave-in conditioner in my hair as well as my coconut/olive oil mixture to lock in the moisture!  I left the twists in my hair and the next day, I put two flat twists in my hair and let it stretch!

TIPS:
  • If you make a big batch of the smoothie, freeze the excess, and when you want to use it let it thaw out
  • add water little by little
  • You might want to put a bit of newspaper down when you apply the conditioner
  • use essential oils if you have any
  • Finger detangle
  • If you have dry hands/ sensitive skin/ or don't want messy hands, use disposable gloves when conditioning.
  • have fun!!!

Till next time,

Hair Steaming Anyone?

Hello Everyone,
it's been a while, but I am back. I have heard about steaming for a while now and I thought why not give it a shot! The only problem with steaming my hair is that I don't have money for any of those pricey at-home steamers, and I don't have money like that to go and find a salon and pay for a "steam experience" (I'm on a budget y'all, you already know!!)

So what is the solution you may ask, do it at home with the materials you already have! It's super easy so I'm gonna show you how to do it in the comfort of your own home, while saving your own hard earned money. Here's what you'll need:

  • plastic cap or a plastic bag (2 of them)
  • 2 hand towels
  • a hooded dryer or a hand held dryer with a bonnet attachment
Step 1:Start with your hand towel. Make sure you wet it well and wring out the excess water.

Step 2: Put it in the microwave for 2 minutes or until it gets warm (I put my rag in a plastic bowl to warm), you don't want it to burn you!!

Step 3:Place the steaming rag on your head!

Step 4:Take either a plastic cap or bag and place (or tie) it over your head.
Step 5:Repeat steps 2,3, and 4
Step 6: Get under your dryer or handheld dryer with the bonnet attachment for about 20-30 minutes.

Step 7: Wash you hair!
Step 8: Enjoy the benefits of your spa day treatment!

After I finished with the steam treatment, my hair was very soft! I used the L.C.O. (liquid, cream, oil) method, tension blow dryed my hair, and trimmed that bad boy! I think that I'm going to be using this weekly in my regimen! I hope this helped!!

No Weave Please

Hello EVERYONE!!

This year I wanted to do some more exploring with my natural hair journey and I have decided to go completely natural for one whole year😱😱😱!!!!! As you get to know me, you'll understand my appreciation for weave!  From as long as I could remember (since I had enough hair follicles for my hair to get done, about 1-2 years of age) I had weave in my head and even when my mom would put my hair in ponytails or use stepmother hot comb I always wanted to get my hair in weave because I was so insecure with my hair.
My aunt, cousin, or some other family member would always come to my rescue since I always had family members who could do hair.  But to make the long story short, even when I was first exploring my natural hair I would always want weave because it "wasn't long enough", "everybody likes it when I have weave I have weave in my hair",and it "wasn't doing what I told it to do" (can anybody else relate?).
In addition, around that time I went 'natural', I was learning how to do sew-ins and how to lay my hair with weave.  It's so easy to rock a sew-in and just grow your hair out like that, especially when you hair is acting a fool and wants to declare that its having a bad day (disrespectful 😂😂)!
Any who  I really wanted to go natural for one whole year!  I have silently called it a weave withdraw rehab.  I not only want to prove to myself that I have what it takes to do this natural walk with no additives, just me and my hair !
I know you may be saying that all of this is a  little extra but I've expressed with some ladies and they said this is a challenge that they just simply could not except!  I believe that in this  hair journey it's important that you work with what you have,  Extensions are a great protective style, but when overused can really dim down your whole natural hair experience.  I want to amplify my experience.  There are so many styles that will look good at various lengths but  there has to be a willingness to step outside your comfort zone and embrace your hair at every length you will ever achieve!

Honey I think I'm in love

Hello everyone!!!
If you don't know that I'm doing a no weave challenge well now you know. It's been going okay so far and thankfully I have many ideas for my hair.
Anyways, I wanted to come to you guys really quickly about being in FL. The heat is NO joke. Not only have I been trying to adjust to the heat but my hair is trying to get used to it too. When I tell you that my hair has been dry from the heat it's no joke dry. I can oil it or lightly spray it with a water mixture but by the afternoon my hair is back to square one.
At first it kind of through me for a loop but I think I found something to combat this and keep my tresses in tip top shape!
*drum roll please...
HONEYY!!!
I been doing my research about honey a while back and it kind of clicked. I did a little bit more researching  and bought a 32 oz. bottle from my local Walmart for $7.84.

Before I co-washed my hair I I did 2 things to it that involved honey.

 1. I took my 8 oz. spray bottle and filled it with 8 oz (or 1 c.) of water and 1/2 tbs (or 1 1/2 tsp.) of honey and mixed it together. I sprayed my hair with water until it was soaking wet. I only used about half of it. (The rest I'm going to use it when my hair feels dry.)

 2.  I had made an oil mixture and had about an ounce and 1/2 left over. The oils  were olive, almond and castor oil. I added 2 tsp. of honey; shook up the mixture applied it to my scalp and hair shaft and left it sit for 30 minutes.

Co-Wash Time!

Initially I was going to co-wash my hair.  I washed it out (as you are to do with a co-wash) and then put some more of the mixture in and left it in and it stayed longer than anticipated (It stayed in for almost 2 complete hours). I used about a little less than 1/4 c. of tressemme moisture rich conditioner, about 2 tsp. of suave almond and shea butter conditioner, 1tbs. of honey, 2 tsp. of olive oil and about a quarter-size squirt of Aussie 3 minute Mir miracle moisture strong. I left this on for over 1 1/2 hours.  I will say, the mix was a lot  so next time I'll use a little less!
When I tell your my curls were on point, my hair was easy to maneuver, and my hair was sooooooo soft!! I think u found my deep conditioner!!!

Afterwards I followed up with a little more detangling.  I twisted my  hair put perm rods at the end absolutely love my results. It lasted one day, only because I did too much with my hair (as usual!).
I hope this helps!

Until next time I'll See You Later!!
